Financial Support for VI Nordic Racers
Visually Impaired people need a guide every time they want to Nordic Ski. The lack of Guides and expenses for the VI Nordic skier are major obstacles that often prohibit VI athletes from Nordic skiing and racing.

VI Nordic Ski Guide Recruiting & Training Program
For the visually impaired, Nordic skiing can be transformative, allowing them to connect with nature, build endurance, and develop camaraderie with fellow athletes - provided they have a Guide.
Sadly, there are not enough trained Guides, which restricts the development of recreational and advanced Nordic ski programs for the visually impaired. What’s more, established VI Nordic racers often scramble to find a Guide for national races and events.
No Guide = No Skiing/Racing for VI Nordic skiers.
More guides are needed to ensure visually impaired skiers have the opportunity to experience the thrill and joy that Nordic skiing provides.
VI youth Nordic ski Program
The ultimate VINSF goal is to establish a VI youth Nordic ski program in the Salt Lake City area. This project is on hold until progress has been made on recruiting and training Guides.
