How Donations Help

Your contributions to the VINSF are vital. Each donation, no matter the size, helps us empower visually impaired athletes, recruit and train Nordic ski Guides, and work to establish Noridic ski programs for VI youth. Your support not only affects the present but also shapes the future of our VI Nordic skiing community.

The VINSF’s three projects and essential for growing the sport of Nordic skiing for visually impaired people. These rewarding projects will cost money, and we are asking for your help to ensure VI people have access to Nordic skiing across all levels of the sport.

Supporting Skiers: Paying for Guide expenses at races/events for established VI racers.

Guide Recruitment & Training: Volunteers are great but for long-term commitment and program development, Guides should be paid. We would like to pay Guides & Trainees $60 per 1.5 hour ski session. Ten trainees over three sessions will cost $1800.

VI Youth Nordic Ski Program in the SLC area: A fleet of Nordic Skis. This will be essential and a one-time cost of approximately $5000.
